Project Organisers

The CVGA is a not-for-profit organisation that works across Central and Northern Victoria to support local government with climate change mitigation and adaptation activities. CVGA represents 13 councils and helps them to develop and implement innovative regional initiatives to benefit their local communities and the economy.

MASH – the campaign for More Australian Solar Homes – is one of the largest community solar bulk-buy programs in Australia. It is organised by the Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance and is run in partnership with councils in Central Victoria. Almost 2,000 households and businesses have chosen to go solar with MASH since the program launched in 2014.

Brimbank makes a significant economic contribution to the regional and state economy, and already operates as an important economic hub, with the largest number of businesses, the greatest output and the most jobs of its neighbouring municipalities.
Brimbank has the third largest population in metro Melbourne and the second largest in the western region, with more than 197,000 residents from more than 156 nationalities.

Specialized Solar and Electrical has been selected by the CVGA through competitive tender to be the solar supplier and installer for the Brimbank Community Solar Program due to its strong track record for quality and service. The company has its headquarters in Melbourne with offices throughout regional Victorian and NSW. It has an in-house team of certified installers as well as a network of fully accredited local installers.
Specialized Solar and Electrical is a Clean Energy Council Solar Retailer, a Registered Electrical Contractor with Energy Safe Victoria, a Smart Energy Council member, a Sunpower Authorised Partner, and a Tesla Powerwall Accredited Installer.
